Here’s the next segment in our Bridesmaid Dresses: “Color” Story……As a recap, (scroll down if you’ve read the “intro” to this article in the past) we’ve included the Pantone Color Guide for new visitors.
If you are the type of bride that likes to keep up with the Trends, you’ll already know what the 2013 Pantone Wedding Colors are…. but just in case, we have included them above as a guide and starting off point for planning your Wedding Style & Design. This is the second segment in our 10 part article devoted to each Pantone color.
Let’s start with a little inspiration: Nectarine is a beautiful choice for any season. It has so many subtle shades from light to dark. Depending on the type of “mood” you are trying to create with your wedding, this is great color to work with for your bridesmaid dresses for any season.
For the purpose of this article, we were inspired by the above piece from Timothy Jones . (we’ll create a few more color combos with some of our next segments~ so check back soon!).
Both are equally appropriate, and paired with the right accessories can steer the direction of the “look” just the way you want it. Using the actual nectarine fruit as inspiration, one can see the subtle grades of color you can work with for pairing multi-color dresses, accessories, and florals, no matter what season your wedding date falls within the year.
Short or Long for Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, Nectarine is a wonderful color choice this year or next.
Nectarine with a complimentary colored heel (for example, a violet/purple) gives the look an edgy, contemporary feel.
Beautiful at any shade, the dresses can be easily paired with neutral heels for a vintage look.
…and try toning down the the look by using mixed shades of softer fabrics in Nectarine-hued Bridesmaid Dresses and Styles, giving it a softer more romantic feel.
Nectarine pairs wonderfully with Navy Groomsmen Suits, Slate Gray and Black for the Gents. It also pairs very nicely with Cobalt Blue accessories as well as the Dark Violet we’ve chosen for this segment. As with all colors, lighter hues lean towards more traditional and romantic, and darker hues give a more contemporary feel.
