Grayed Jade-Bridesmaid Dresses: Let’s start with a little inspiration. The many subtle shades of the Grayed Jade color, are all beautifully captured in this piece by Jean Moore below.
Grayed Jade lends a certain romantic feel and gives a light airy feel to the design base of any wedding. Choosing Grayed Jade for your bridesmaid dresses will work in any length and season, adding instant elegance, especially in chiffon.
Just looking at a few examples in the J.Crew Bridesmaid Dress line, one can see the versatility of this beautiful Grayed Jade for a bridesmaid dress choice. Pairing it with navy, blacks, and grays in Groomsmen attire, or even combining the subtle shades of the this multi-faceted hue in one dress works!
If your vision is to keep the look “simply romantic” as illustrated in the below image, it’s easy to just add a simple metallic shoe to carry on the elegant feel created by the grayed jade color.
Style Tip: Remember the more movement your dress has, whether it be in fabric or detail, the more you want your shoe and accessories to be simplified so the look of the ensemble is not overwhelming to the eye.
Choosing a vintage styled dress in traditional wedding fabric like chiffon, silk duponi, or linen is beautiful! If you love vintage and still want to keep it trendy, try adding a contemporary heel to give the look a little more edge. We love the eyelet detail in this vintage dress!
For another look, keep the shoes in a muted complimentary color and introduce the bright “Pop” of color in the bridesmaid bouquet. Using a traditional dress and shoe style, and adding a contemporary bouquets brings the look forward and on trend. Style Tip: Remember to coordinate the “pop” so the ensemble does not appear to look too “busy”.
Choosing a longer version of the Grayed Jade bridesmaid dress really nails the elegant-romantic style.
With the beautiful flowing look of chiffon, pairing with a metallic strappy sandal and white bouquet keeps the look sophisticated.
Or! …..Try adding a beautiful Dark African Violet shoe and bridesmaid bouquet as a pop of color!
Choosing a traditional design in the shoe keeps the look streamlined and also up to date at the same time.
Still can’t decide on your “color” ? Try using the Grayed Jade in your shoe as an accent color. We’ve paired it in the below collage with a gorgeous J.Crew Burgundy dress with a coordinating soft pink and creamy white bouquet. Love this look!
Style tip: To keep your look elegant, keep the pop of color in the florals, and coordinate your dress and shoe in muted tones.
For Summer months, punching up the tone of the Grayed Jade will make the look more trendy.
Try adding a pop of color in your shoe with a bright mixed floral bouquet in coordinating colors.
When choosing this look, remember to keep the jewelry understated so as not to overwhelm the ensemble.
