How to Plan a Bridal Shower -DIY from Real Wedding Planner Lisa Sammons Events
It’s all in the details….!!
Lisa Sammons Events recently had the honor of consulting on a DIY Bridal Shower planning with an ever so thoughtful sister of the Bride!
Working in conjunction with Flavor Concepts Catering a few weeks ago, we consulted for a sweet sister of the bride with so many thoughtfully planned out details for her sister’s Bridal Shower at Bedrock Gardens in Lee, NH.
What a beautiful location, and one of the best kept secrets in-inland NH. What a perfect place for a Bridal Shower with a Garden Party themed event!
This thoughtful sister of the Bride planned a Garden Party theme for her sister’s Bridal Shower and asked in the invitation for all the ladies to wear their favorite “Garden Party” hat.
This thoughtful sister lovingly created and planned all the decor herself. So sweet.
Just recently getting married herself, this thoughtful hostess left no detail out. She even planned a specialty drink for the Bridal Shower and created cute little signs to go with the station.
This Bridal Shower was definitely all about sweet gardens, lace and lovely details. As the Bridal Shower was during the day, but she still wanted to incorporate the lanterns to the decor, she added lace to the lantern windows to give them more of a feminine look.
What Garden Party would be complete without Sweets!! This wonderful bride’s sister already had planned a fabulous dessert table, and of course she created tables signs for all the food too! “Love is Sweet” for the dessert table…
LSE suggested the food be along the lines of an English Tea Party to tie in with the Garden Party them, and the bride’s sister wanted to keep the food “light” as the event was in the late afternoon. The guests were first greeted with a handpicked selection of passed Hors d’oeuvres by the wonderful Flavor Concepts Catering. Both sister love beets, so Flavor Concepts Catering just HAD to make their signature Red Beet & Whipped Goat Cheese Tartlets for them!
FCC also made 3 different “tea sandwiches” including a Gluten-Free Lettuce Wrapped “tea sandwich” as an option as well. Our client chose Flavor Concepts Catering because of their commitment to Farm-to-Table and as the Bride and her sister are both foodies and love to support Fresh-Local as well, it was the perfect fit for this special Bridal Shower-Garden Party. And you know the fab sister made food signs with all the farms and local product that was used by Flavor Concepts Catering too! … LOVE!!!
Yum. Had to share a close-up of the delicious desserts …
The Bride’s sister found the most darling pastel pink tablecloths with the cutest little cut-outs…almost like a cut-out stencil along the hem of the tablecloths. Adorable.
And you know she was up the night before ironing these… they are perfect!!
She also set up guest favors and some fun baskets for for “gifts to make the house a home”. What a thoughtful sister!!
The best part was that the bride’s sister enlisted her dad and brother to do the bartending!!
What a pleasure working with her, and an honor to be involved in the planning. We can’t take credit for any of the lovely details or decor with this Bridal Shower, as this fab sister of the bride thought of everything!! And from the image above of the Bride-to-be, her dad, and brother, I think the guest of honor was happy with her party!
