Monet Painting in His Floating Studio 1874
To get us started, we’re starting with some Fine Art Inspiration for our article, the above painting by Monet illustrates how versatile yellow can be paired with any color! Reds, Teal, Navy, Aqua, Black, Gray, and more….

Dress: Victoria Beckham, Shoes: Jimmy Choo
This sleeveless pale-yellow dress by Victoria Beckham is a unique choice for bridesmaid dress paired with a strappy red and gold strappy sandal ties in nicely with the pretty mixed floral bridesmaid bouquet in corals and reds.
Choosing Yellow for your bridesmaid dress doesn’t mean you can use pattern or textured fabric. This pretty floral brocade sweetheart neckline dress is simple in design and pairs nicely with a Stuart Weitzman off-white strappy sandal. You can still add a little pop of color in your bouquet with this look, but remember to keep it soft and all in 1 flower/petal to keep the bridesmaid ensemble for looking too busy.
Yellow is such a bright and playful color…. why not have fun with it? Choose a pretty yellow bridesmaid dress in a traditional design and fabric and add a twist to the look with a pair of t-strap cobalt blue heels (ModCloth.com). We paired this look with a pretty all white mixed floral bouquet from a recent elopement we planned to give a little texture to this bridesmaid’s ensemble.
Accenting your Yellow wedding colors with complimentary purple in accessories and bouquet is a wonderful way to introduce a second color to your individual wedding color palette.
Yellow works wonderfully in any wedding -style or theme, whether it be Traditional- Elegance, Country-Rustic, and Contemporary-Chic. For this Style,Inspiration,& Design board, we paired a pretty lace shift dress with a pair of rustic cowboy boots. The detail in the cowboy boots mirror that of the lace detail in the dress, and is further captured in the hydrangea texture in the bridesmaid bouquet.
For a little softer country-rustic look, we chose a softer fabric and bridesmaid dress design, paired it with a lighter cowboy boot and a pretty mixed coral bridesmaid bouquet.
Love this little strapless lace dress…. paired with a muted gold strappy sandal and all white peony bouquet – simply romantic and lovely…..
Same dress, change up the shoes for a pop of color in pretty sky-blue and add a mixed floral bouquet makes this look Contemporary – Country….
Here’s the same pretty little yellow dress, changing out the shoe to a cowboy boot with detail to mirror that of the fabric pattern in the dress. We added a simple all-white bouquet from a recent elopement we planned to also mirror the texture in the dress fabric …. Country-chic!
Yellow is so wonderful to pair with any color. Here we used the same dress again to show how you can simply change up the accessories to change the mood or theme of your wedding. Adding this pink Christian Louboutin and a soft floral bouquet in mixed pinks really notes the romance and texture in the dress. The pop of pink in the Christiant Louboutin pump adds a contemporary edge to this bridesmaid’s look.
Love vintage? Yellow is already a traditional wedding color, so choose your dress in a vintage design. A boat-neck dress with an A-line skirt and flats hits the mark. Choosing a bridesmaid dress with detail in the neckline saves on a jewelry purchase for your bridesmaids! We chose a bouquet in the same pinks as in the dress detail to coordinate with the accessory of the dress’ neckline.
Two-toned bridesmaid dresses? Yes!! Gray is one of our personal favorites to pair with Yellow. This contemporary-designed dress would be a fantastic choice for a bridesmaid dress. Are you a contemporary-urban bride, but still love country-rustic for your wedding? Add a cute pair of cowboy boots (in yellow of course!) to give contrast to this fab bridesmaid look.
Real Wedding Planner Advice: With the draped-design of this dress and the contrast of the cowboy boots, keep your bouquet simple and in a neutral to not overwhelm the eye.

For our last look … an adorable sleeveless dress with bib collar in yellow lace overlay. With this pale yellow, we added a bright pop of color in the bouquet… don’t be afraid of color! Have fun with it! Choose an elegant strappy sandal (Stuart Weitzman) in a muted off-white to compliment the dress and to keep the look elegant and chic. This bridesmaid ensemble is a little bit country, elegant, chic, and lovely!
