Fall-Vintage Wedding-by Lisa Sammons Events
LSE had a lot of fun designing with our Fall Wedding client in September this year!
We took some snaps on the wedding day, but the GORGEOUS images just came in from the wedding photographer (Aphrodite Wedding Photography) and we just had to write about this rustic-vintage wedding again! It was an absolute pleasure to design this event with our client, & it was a great honor for LSE to be chosen to plan and design her event.
LSE’s Vintage-style bride found the perfect Facinator to add to her ‘look” rather than the traditional veil. Absolutely Perfect!
And her groom looked dapper in sear-sucker and a bright red bow-tie with matching red keds to show his personal style!
It all started with the invitation with the bride did on her own choosing from our friends at Minted.com!
The bride found Vintage stamps in a small batch for a little extra detail for her wedding invitation.
Real Wedding Planner Advice: Using Vintage stamps are an amazing detail for your invitations. LSE’s rustic-vintage bride was able to make this work for her mailing as her guest list was under 50 guests. Vintage stamps can be found, but it’s a challenge to find them in large quantities if you want your stamps to match-y-match. If you can’t find “real” vintage stamps, you can still find a stamp that mirrors that design note! And if you still can’t find the perfect stamp… ask your local Post Office to hand-cancel your invitations for you. It’s a nice touch and will lend a more “vintage” look to your mailing.
The Bride “canned” pickles for her guests as a personalized favor in addition to the generous guest gift “station” our client (the host of the wedding!) lovingly set up including a “ladies & gents” stations throughout the tent. The ladies station included scented soaps, candy, pulled taffy, scented candles, and adorable little handmade sachets that the bride’s grandmother made.
For the “gents”, there was a single malt scotch & bourbon area complete with cigars, and gentlemanly tea for those who wanted a non-alcoholic libation.
LSE ordered custom made farm-style bars from our friends at Rentals Unlimited & True North. All handmade in beautiful antiqued pine.
We used True North again for the guest tables and chairs ~ with adorable details for the Bride & Groom chair backs provided by our wonderful client.
For the ceremony our Rustic-Vintage bride wanted very little….. the bride’s only ask? …. just an arbor with burlap. Another great find (custom rental) for their ceremony was this beautiful antique-worn creamy-white wrought iron arbor that LSE adorned simply with a bolt of burlap. For the guest seating at the ceremony, it just had to be farm-style benches, and we detailed those with Eucalyptus leaves and berries with a little bit of soft tea-stained lace ties.
LSE’s client already had the perfect property for this country-style tented wedding complete with wagon!
Thinking of every detail, our fab client of course wanted a vintage truck ….
….and baby goat to roam around during the wedding ceremony and reception.
As we had a contact for the vintage truck already, the vintage 1920’s black sedan was an easy find and a natural addition to our client’s event’s vehicle “fleet” …. and the black sedan really made a great back drop for the bride and groom post-ceremony.
In the “lounge” & soft-seating area, an antique bed with vintage bedding and needlepoint pillows to noted the pattern in our client’s limoge.
For the guest tables, antique ivory lace runners and our client’s own limoge along with beautifully etched glass water glasses mirroring the pattern in the lace runner. We tied our client’s silverware with burlap string to bring a little of the “rustic” to their vintage-elegant guest table.
Simple seasonal lisianthus were simply arranged in antique bottles down the middle of the lace runners on each table. We chose the guest table florals in soft pinks and creamy whites to mirror the floral pattern on our client’s 18th century limoge porcelain. And for toasting time, of course we had to have antique-vintage champagne cupolas!
