Real Wedding Planner Advice: Whether you choose your bridesmaid dresses for your bridesmaids, or you let them choose… you, as the bride, need to give your bridesmaids some guidance…
As the bride, you need to have the bridesmaid dress choice(s) as part of your wedding planning process…and you need to drive the process for your bridesmaids.
This does not make you a controlling bride or a bridezilla! You have to start with color and style in order to set the tone of your wedding “style”.
Giving your bridesmaid a choice of style and dress design is a very broad amount of choices for your bridesmaids, and they will need your help! Remember, they want to make you happy and work within your wedding “vision” parameters, so they’ll need a place to start.
Real Wedding Planner Advice: Try to give your bridesmaid either a color choice to work with, or at least a specific dress designer to choose from….
Start with sending your bridesmaid a color palette to stick to in their search for their dress choice.

To keep the look “traditional” choose the color and dress designer on your own, and then let your bridesmaids choose a neckine that flatters them individually.
Or… give your bridesmaids a few colors to choose from & a few style choices or “guidelines” to stick to….
