Oceanfront wedding planning, design & production By Lisa Sammons Events
Here’s part 2 of LSE’s Navy-Blush-Neutrals Wedding, Rye, NH – (to see part 1 click here). It was an honor and an absolute pleasure to work for this Bride & Groom. We had a lot of fun designing and bringing their vision to life for this special cocktail party-style wedding in mid-September.
Navy Bridal Satin linen gave anchor to the reception space, and 1 of LSE’s favorite vendors (True North Rentals) provided the beautiful custom bars, and farm tables that we used on the parameter of the tent interior for food and beverage.
The wedding was located on a private oceanfront estate, with limited parking so wedding guests were shuttled in by trolley service at scheduled intervals. To welcome guests upon their arrival champagne and raspberry lemonade was offered prior to the ceremony…
The bride wanted beautiful floral accents throughout the wedding, which LSE was happy to accommodate! Their raspberry lemonade was a perfect compliment to the wedding flowers too!
The bride and groom wanted an easy-breezy, relaxed (but elegant) cocktail party-style wedding reception where their guests could visit, mingle, dance (and nosh!) throughout the night, LSE designed several custom seating areas along with the cafe-style seating & navy linen to create intimate nooks where guests could talk and visit.
LSE sourced antiques and accent furniture pieces in neutrals to subtly accent the wedding reception design bringing the lounge areas into the wedding design as a whole, without competing with the Navy-Blush wedding colors.
F as in Flowers created the perfect statement piece floral arrangements for the bar and focal point lounge seating areas with pops of coral and blush pink. David Austin Roses, Blushing Bride, Lisianthus, and Garden Spray Roses were the perfect combination in their floral design.
In addition to bringing the bride & groom’s wedding vision to life, LSE added interior design accessories (florals, pillows, rugs, books, linens, china) to ensure the lounge seating and entire tented area was inviting and comfortable for guests.
For the second soft-seating area we used antique side tables, rental chesterfield club chairs, soft neutral oriental rug and soft neutral throw pillows with texture…
When sourcing rentals for our client, LSE found the perfect blue antique rental “fainting” couch to accent this particular lounge area….
…and added a few throw pillows to mirror the club-chair seating. Soft drapery in ivory satin was also added to pick up the soft sea breeze that blew throughout the day.
For the 3rd soft-seating area, rental Bergere chairs and a Chesterfield settee in neutrals, more textured throw pillows (also rentals!) and antique side tables…..
As this lounge area’s furniture was very muted neutrals, we found an oriental rug with a bit more color and to note the bride’s love of flowers.
To soften the hard wood accents in the furniture and bring the soft-seating groups into the overall design of the wedding reception…
LSE added more floral accents and books, and small little pieces of china (with blush-pink floral accents of course!) and some throw blankets to soften the interior design a bit more…
