using 2016 Pantone Wedding Colors
featuring dresses from unique bridesmaid dresses from one of LSE’s favorite resources & advertiser, Modcloth.com
If you are getting married in the Spring, you are probably looking for your bridesmaid dresses at this time of year (at the latest the fall before your wedding). For brides on a budget, we thought we would give some examples of some fab bridesmaid dress ideas using Pantone Wedding Colors for this coming Spring.
Real Wedding Planner Advice: Modcloth.com is a great way to save money on bridesmaid dresses. They have so many wonderful choices from traditional, country-style, and vintage.
Using the first Pantone Color in LSE’s Style, Inspiration, & Design collage, this Rose Quartz colored bridesmaid dress is paired with Badgley Mischka Strappy Sandals (also in rose quartz) and a soft muted peony & mixed rose bouquet in blush pinks and creamy whites.
Next up! Pantone’s Peach Echo (i.e. Coral) this is such a great wedding color choice for Spring and Summer weddings. Choosing your bridesmaid bouquets in soft versions of the peach-coral color with small wild flower accents will keep the look easy. To keep the look elegant, but relaxed, choose a neutral shoe rather than the typical metallic wedding shoe for your bridesmaids.
Pantone’s Serenity Blue leans towards a Sky Blue or Periwinkle Blue – it’s so beautiful for any season, Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter. As with all your bridesmaid dress choices, the accessories will drive the feel of your bridesmaids’ ensemble. The above dress from Modcloth is fun and flirty, add a muted metallic strappy sandal from Stuart Weitzman and a gorgeous mixed floral bridesmaid bouquet allows more color introduction in your bridesmaids’ look.
If your wedding style is “Vintage”, the above polka-dot mid-century styled dress from Modcloth in Pantone’s Snorkel Blue is a great choice. To ground the look without being overly vintage, choose a contemporary strappy sandal to ground the look. Choosing this color blue will automatically bring a wonderful burst of color into your wedding. Just because you bring a strong color into your wedding with your bridesmaid dresses doesn’t mean you can’t use more strong colors in your wedding palette. Have fun with it!
We receive so many inquiries about “where to find Yellow bridesmaid dresses” whenever we post an article featuring “yellow”. Modcloth is a great resource for Yellow, traditional, rustic, or vintage. This “Buttercup” Yellow dress is so cute and reasonably priced for your bridesmaids. Real Wedding Planner Advice: If you want your bridesmaids to wear a fab strappy sandal (like Badgley Mischka) then try to find a bridesmaid dress that everyone can afford. Accenting your bridesmaid dress color in your bridesmaid bouquet really ties the whole look together.
Limpet Shell (or aqua blue) from Pantone works great as a wedding color choice for Spring & Summer. This vintage/mid-century-styled dress from Modcloth is adorable. Paired with a sparkly strappy sandal from Jimmy Choo keeps the look wedding-traditional.
Don’t be afraid of adding a pop of color in your bridesmaid dress ensembles. Limpet Shell (aqua) is beautifully paired above with red suede peep toe pumps. Real Wedding Planner Advice: Choose a bridesmaid bouquet in white and with soft petals to let the shoes be the “pop” in your bridesmaids’ ensemble.
We love this day-dress in lilac-gray from Modcloth. Don’t be afraid of choosing a toned down dress design for your bridesmaids’ dresses. It will save your girls money, and you can easily punch up the ensemble by choosing your accessories wisely. Adding a stylized contemporary gold strappy sandal with this Lilac-gray dress mirrors the gold metallic buttons in the dress. Real Wedding Planner Advice: Remember to show your florist your bridesmaid dress choice so they can also pick up the colors and textures in your bouquets.
If you love color, Pantone’s Fiesta (Red) is a great choice for you! So fun for Spring and Summer weddings. You can easily tone down the red with a pair of peep toe Christian Louboutins in beige-suede. Real Wedding Planner Advice: Remember to have fun with color! Hot Pinks, Bright Yellows, and Fiesta Red are a beautiful floral combination in a bridesmaid bouquet.
Iced Coffee (beige/tan) is such a trendy color right now. As real wedding planners, we are seeing neutrals as a strong color choice and theme in weddings and wedding design right now. We love this cute country-style dress from Modcloth – If your wedding style is Country-Rustic, simply add a cowboy boot to your bridesmaids’ ensemble to make it work! Even if your wedding style is Country-Rustic, you can still have a touch of contemporary design in your wedding. Try using succulents in your wedding florals and bouquets to keep it trendy and contemporary.
The last color on the Pantone Spring Wedding Color list is “Green Flash”. We found this adorable polka-dot dress in a vintage design. To give contrast to this bridesmaids’ ensemble, we added a neutral strappy sandal. This shoe choice also brings the look into the present and accents the movement in the dress design. The color choice works well for all bridesmaids as it elongates the leg and doesn’t distract from the dress design. Real Wedding Planner Advice: Remember to keep the bridesmaid bouquet simple in all one color and soft petals to accent the look rather than overwhelming the ensemble.
